Portrait in Type 12/8

Reflection:
The process of illustration Chino Moreno with just type was so difficult in terms of wanting to be as detailed and making sure the portrait looks just like the celebrity. I wanted to be as accurate as how the image was like and making sure that  I wasn't being too extra with the letters in which would then be "too detailed" where it's not aesthetically pleasing anymore and it would be too overcrowded. But finding letters in which would fit the curves and shapes I needed to show a certain facial feature was quite a challenge. The beard part was hard to come by because I wasn't sure if I should add a shaded feature for the beard or just leave it in terms of simplicity. Familiarizing myself with the font would've made the process a lot quicker because I didn't fully use the font to its limit, and I probably would've used different letters in certain areas. The design however, it could be better in terms of finding a better font to give the portrait a lot more character and give the vibes the singer would give as well. I think using a serif font wasn't the best idea but I worked with what I had.
