Gridded Concert Poster 10/25

Reflection:
Linkin Park is is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California. Linkin Park auditioned and were rejected for record deals 44 times before finally signing with Warner Brothers and becoming one of the biggest musical acts of the 2000s. Linkin Park was one of the rock bands I grew up with and it was only correct to have an attempt at making a poster for a band that no longer host or make concerts anymore. I started with a smoke-fog background and used a silhouette image of the lead singer Chester Bennington, who's already passed away, but then decided to make square shapes to give a shadow effect for the image but using white to match the whole poster. The fonts I used for the title is Gotham Black in uppercase and then for the sub heading I used Gill Sans MT Ext Condensed Bold. And for the location and the "Tickets Available Now!" text was the font Bahnschrift, since that information was straightforward and decided to use a simple font. I ended up making the location on the upper left hand corner which is left aligned with the side to make sure that it's the first thing people could see. I broke the grid by placing the title and subheading in the center along with the image and then I aligned the "TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW!" to the image of Ticketmaster logo so it's also left aligned. Overall, I didn't incorporate much color because the band is mainly black and white themed in each of their concerts so it's their iconic colors and what they're known for.
